Don’t miss the chance for your child to be a part of Living Word’s largest outreach ministry! Priority Registration for The Learning Center's 2018-2019 school year begins on Monday, January 22 for Living Word members and currently enrolled students. You have until Friday, February 2 to turn in paperwork. TLC is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and is accredited through the Association of Early Learning Leaders National Accreditation Commission. We enroll children from 6 weeks of age through 5 years old. We also offer transportation and before and after school care for elementary-age students. Registration packets are available in the church lobby, or during TLC school hours at the TLC office. You are welcome to come by, take a tour, and meet our staff! The Annual Congregational Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 28 following the 11:00 am service in the Sanctuary. All voting members are requested to attend this important meeting to celebrate our 2017 accomplishments, get a first look at our 2018 goals, and approve the 2018 budget. __________________________________________________

Dear Friends, It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Jessica Noonan has decided to step down from her position as Director of Discipleship. Jessica has been an outstanding member of staff at Living Word for more than a decade. I am personally grateful for her years of ministry, for her passion and dedication to forming faith in people of all ages. During her tenure as Director of Children's Ministry and Director of Discipleship, she pioneered many important ministry initiatives: Milestones, Journey To The Cross, Adult Faith Formation, Camp Hope, Mom's Ministry, FAITH5 practices and more. Living Word has been enormously blessed because of the work and leadership of Jessica. We are also grateful to the Noonan family (David, her husband; Sam, Chloe and Maggie) for sharing her with us. Cross Generational Lent Workshops
are coming up on February 11 at 9:30am and 6:00pm in The Life Center. We want to help prepare all ages for the journey of Lent – the journey that leads us through suffering to the risen Christ. Adult Faith Formation Groups in January! We hope that every adult at Living Word is involved in faith formation that moves them deeper in their discipleship walk. When we care for our own faith development then we are better able to care for those around us and do the things God has called us to do in life.
Junior Youth for Christ (JYC) will meet TODAY at 12pm in the Fellowship Hall! Lutherhill Summer Camp is the BEST WEEK EVER! Living Word has reserved limited spots for current 1st-5th graders to go to overnight camp at Camp Lutherhill the week of July 29th. Register by Feb 15th. Two Nursery Rooms Now Open We are now able to offer two Sunday morning nursery options in The Learning Center – Room 15 is for children 6 weeks-2 years old and Room 14 for 3 year olds. __________________________________________________

Care Team Informational Workshop If you have ever thought of offering your time to be the hands and feet of Jesus to visit Living Word members who are homebound, in assisted living / nursing homes, hospitalized, or just going through a rough time, please consider joining the Care Team. We will be holding an informational workshop in the Life Center TODAY, January 21 at 12:15pm.
