Full time position will oversee the technical ministry of Living Word Lutheran Church. The technical arts ministry includes, audio, video, lighting, projection and media creation. They will develop and implement new forms of media created to enhance worship and Living Word ministries. High School & College Ministries Coordinator This part time position will direct and lead ministry with and for high school and college age youth. The High School & College Ministries Coordinator shall seek to foster Christian community through building relationships with young people that grow their faith in Jesus Christ, and strengthen their commitment to serve the church both inside and outside the walls of Living Word. Children’s Ministry Coordinator This part time position will assist in developing, directing, and leading ministry with and for families with children ages birth to 5th grade. The Children’s Ministry Coordinator is also part of the Discipleship Team which also includes our Associate Pastor of Spiritual Formation and High School and College Ministry Coordinator. __________________________________________________
All youth ages 6 to 10 are invited to Camp Jam, Living Word's Music Day Camp! This kid's immersion music program will expose youth to a variety of musical instruments and ensembles. The campers will be able to choose 4 out of the following 6 workshops: FUNdamental Drumming, Dance, Dance, Dance!, Piano for Beginners, Handbells 101, Guitar and Stringy Things, and Artistic Expressions with Yojuan. LWR School Kit Drive Backpacks, rulers and pens! OH MY! The LWR School Kit Drive is gearing up and will run through September 9th. This annual ministry will supply school kits for under privileged kids in places all over the world. Please pick up a supply list in the lobby, where you can also find the donation box. The list is VERY item specific, so please check it carefully. Items that do not conform will be donated elsewhere. We hope to send no less than 100 kits. The Living Word Hurricane Team Needs a Few More Volunteers The primary role of this ministry is to prepare the church buildings and property in the event a storm is heading our way. This consists of securing the building, moving contents to inside rooms and higher shelves where possible. It is very much the same as you would do to prepare your own home. We have a written plan to follow and it takes 1-2 hours to complete. We have put the plan in place for Ike and Harvey, so let’s hope for a few years when the team is not needed!
