Adult Faith Formation Bible Study:

Freye Family Farewell Reception

360, Reading the Bible Anew

Sunday, March 18 9am - 12:30pm The Life Center

360 is a journey from Genesis to Revelation that allows us to experience scripture in new and dynamic ways. As Christians, we simply do not learn or just study the scripture for knowledge. We assimilate it, and take it into our lives in such a way that it mobilizes us to acts of love, compassion and justice. This Bible study meets on Wednesdays at 9:30am and 7:00pm in the Life Center. You do not want to miss 360; a chance to read the Bible again for the first time. __________________________________________________

Piecemakers Quilt Silent Auction & Raffle Piecemakers’ work over the past year will be displayed in the sanctuary on March 18 at all three services. This also includes school kits and baby care kits that will be shipped to the Baltimore warehouse for distribution over seas. To defray some of the shipping costs, we are having a silent auction of three quilts, and a raffle for one quilt. Raffle tickets are $2.00 or 3 for $5.00. The quilts are on display in the lobby today. Come and see the beautiful work our quilters have done this year! __________________________________________________

The Gathering: 8th Annual Rodeo

Adult Faith Formation Groups

Yee-haw! Cowboys and cowgirls, polish your boots, starch your jeans, put on your best Stetson and head on over to the 8th Annual Gathering Rodeo to be held on Thursday, March 15 in the Life Center. The Gathering team will meet at 8:30am to convert the Life Center into the “wild west”, and the rodeo will begin at 10:00am. Chris Collins from Colorado, aka “John Denver”, will be the featured performer at the fast -paced, fun-filled social event. Other highlights of the day will include steer roping, a cow patty toss, card flipping, a program presented by The Learning Center, a sing-along, plus a delicious lunch prepared by the Chuck Wagon Ladies.

We hope that every adult at Living Word is involved in faith formation that moves them deeper in their discipleship walk.

March marks The Gathering’s 9th anniversary—that’s over 100 monthly themed parties! The Gathering is held the third Thursday of the month and our guests have beginning to moderate memory loss. Use FAITH5 in your household as a nightly ritual - SHARE highs and lows, READ the Bible verse or story, TALK about how the Bible might relate to highs and lows, PRAY for one another’s highs and lows, BLESS one another. __________________________________________________

Journey to the Cross registration is open! JTTC is an age-appropriate, interactive walk through Jesus' last week on Earth. Together we become a part of the story when we wave palms as Jesus enters Jerusalem, eat the Last Supper with Jesus and His disciples, and roll the stone in front of the tomb.
