Congregational Meeting Elections for the Living Word Congregational Council will be held on Sunday, May 20 at 12:15pm. We hope all members come and cast votes for your council representatives. Council Members' obligations as your church representatives are twofold: To partner with our Lead Pastor on visioning for Living Word and finding ways that we can be a Living Expression of Christ in the World; and to be good stewards and provide financial oversight for your generous contributions that fund our ministries. The Living Word Nominating Committee is currently working to identify members who are spiritually gifted and able to help create and fulfill the vision of the church, and/or have some financial or organizational gifts that will assist in our business obligations.

The Circus is Coming to Town! Popcorn, peanuts, lions and tigers—“The Circus is Coming to Town!” The Gathering will host a ‘circus’ themed social on Thursday, May 17, in the Life Center. The Gathering team will meet at 8:30am to convert the room into the Big Top and hold a short planning session; the fun-filled day begins at 10:00am. The day will be packed with a variety of activities, such as, arts and crafts, fast paced exercises, a program presented by The Learning Center students, a variety of midway games, a sing-a-long and delicious lunch. The Gathering, which was organized in 2009, is a Living Word Outreach Ministry. Our guests have beginning to moderate memory loss and these few hours of social interaction offer their caregiver a little “me time”; a time to relax without worry or stress. If you would like to be a part of the Gathering team or help with the meal, contact Mary Lou Volan at 281578-9878 or [email protected]. _______________________________________________________
