Blue Tarp Ministry

Barefoot Ministry This ministry provides toiletries, hygienic items, canned food and the Word within a backpack. We reach out to the homeless community by sharing the love and the hope that is offered to us through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. This seasonal ministry is in November and December. This weekly backyard Bible study to children reaches out to a local apartment complex by sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ. The children not only learn Biblical truths, but they play games, eat snacks and learn to appreciate life in community. The focus is on building relationships with children and their families. Care Net

This ministry is a resource pregnancy center providing life affirming, faith-based support to women who believe they are pregnant and who may be considering abortion. They serve women with respect, compassion and care as they provide confidential services at no cost by trained staff and medical professionals. Coastal Food Ministry This ministry reaches out to the local community by sharing the love of Jesus to the “least of these” by providing a very basic need: food. You can help every third weekend with setting up, distributing and cleaning up. Contact Paul Schaefer at [email protected] for more info.

Downtown Ministry In partnership with several city agencies, this ministry provides homeless individuals with meals, hygienic supplies, clothing, Christian resources and the opportunity to start a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Contact Kim and Cathy Hills at [email protected] for info.

Gift Ministry This ministry addresses children’s needs by providing school bags and supplies as they go back to school. They also provide giftwrapped toys during the Christmas season. To learn how you can get involved, contact Michelle Freeman at [email protected].

Hampton Soup Kitchen This outreach is a donation run ministry providing hot meals to the homeless and needy in the downtown Hampton area. In addition to a warm meal, there is opportunity to establish a trust that will allow the love of Christ to be shared. This ministry runs every Monday from September to May from 10 AM—1 PM. PENINSULA RESCUE MISSION A Christian ministry serving homeless men by treating them with care and providing clean clothes, showers, a bed, and a hot mail. Our greatest desire is to gain the opportunity to address their greatest need in life...the need for a Savior. Every third Thursday and fourth Saturday. SPECIAL OLYMPICS Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This helps the athletes develop physically, courage, and lasting experiences. Come and support the athletes in a variety of ways. Contact Tom Boetger at [email protected]

NATASHA HOUSE Natasha House is a transitional home for homeless women and children that empowers and equips them to rebuild productive, thriving lives as they transition to permanent housing and achieve selfsufficiency. Contact Coastal for more information at [email protected].

LACKEY FREE CLINIC The clinic provides skilled, compassionate healthcare, and counseling to the medically disadvantaged, uninsured and impoverished patients in a manner that honors the name of Jesus. SRO MINISTRY

The Warwick Single Resident Occupancy (SRO) provides singleroom rental housing to low -income individuals in need of housing. There is on site food distribution, Bible studies and social events. Contact Kim and Cathy Hills at [email protected]

A united Peninsual faith community, partnering with community resources, to help those most in need by addressing both essential living needs (e.g., food, housing, utilities) and the unique crises affecting each person. His Helping Hands Our mission is to demonstrate God’s love by providing materials and workmanship to make homes of the elderly, disabled and single parents safe, accessible, comfortable and secure. WELLESLEY COMMONS This residence provides quality of life programs for 40 elderly residents living on fixed incomes. The ministry focuses on building relationships and providing a church service, social events, food and the love of Christ. We meet every second Saturday evening.
