National Day of Prayer Meeting

Dear Church Family... Happy Mother’s Day! Aren’t moms a special blessing from the Lord? Mothers have the ability to be loving and strict at the same time; to work hard and play hard; to give us their best while giving themselves the leftovers. In countless ways, they show us the agape love of Christ through words and deeds. Craig Christina Senior Pastor

Forbes Magazine did a study on the appropriate salary a mom should earn considering all of her duties like: Day Care Center Teacher, CEO, Psychologist, Cook, Housekeeper, Laundry Machine Operator, Computer Operator, Facilities Manager, Janitor, and Van Driver. The average stay-at -home mom should make an annual salary of $112,962 (based on a 40-hour per week base pay plus 54.7 hours a week of overtime). The average working mom should make an annual salary (just for her "mom" role) of $66,969 (based on 40hours of mothering duties and 17.9 overtime hours per week). Our moms were probably never paid anything close to that amount, but they are priceless just the same. It may sound strange, but having a loving, godly mother (and grandmothers) is one reason I can relate to God as a loving Heavenly Father. I can believe in God’s sacrificial love for me because I’ve already seen that kind of love in them. My dad is great, too! But this month, I praise God for mom. Your servant in Christ, Pastor Craig
