LOVE OVER FEAR August, 2020 Life Group Leader: This sermon series is based on content from Dan White Jr’s book, Love Over Fear. His team put together excellent group discussion material that we encourage you to access and utilize as you lead this month. Links: The Love Over Fear Project- website 7 Steps to Healing Our Polarized Church- discussion curriculum Note that there are 5 Sundays in August and 7 weeks of content in the discussion material. Don’t be discouraged! Be creative! For example, work through weeks 1-5 and encourage group members to pair off and meet for coffee (in person or virtually) to discuss the remaining content. Or, take the time to familiarize yourself with the content and condense it to fit your group format. Regardless how you adapt the curriculum for discussion, the LifeGroup leadership team encourages you to continue using the ESPN format for group time. Discussion that is rooted in scripture, supported by encouragement, done with prayerful hearts, and followed by Spirit-led next steps will be fruitful and lifegiving. Remember, we encourage you to share your leadership with group members. Ask one or two others to share leadership responsibilities with you this month- they could own one of the ESPN content sections, or lead then entire meeting time.
