#8 - God’s Provision is Vast

Psalm 98:1-6 Sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have worked salvation for Him. The LORD has made His salvation known and revealed His righteousness to the nations. He has remembered His love and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Psalm 98:1-6 cont’ Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn-- shout for joy before the LORD, the King.

Psalm 150:1-6 Praise the LORD. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens. Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness. Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet…

Psalm 150:1-6 cont’ …praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and flute, praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.

Experiencing God’s provision can cause one to Stand in extreme awe

Sing aloud Randomly shout “Hallelujah” Appear like they have lost it Burst into jubilant song Start dancing for no apparent reason

I need to warn you that if we turn the corner this morning and see/experience God’s provision

You may have trouble thinking about anything else the rest of the day

You may not be able to drive home safely because you are under the influence of an amazing God

You may randomly break out in song

You may shout Hallelujah at the most inappropriate times

If you have to stop at Wal-Mart on the way home you could experience an embarrassing moment because all of a sudden you could break into a dance or a jubilant song

You may just start singing Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Are you willing to take the risk? Romans 5

Romans chapters 1-4 Affirms that there is an amazing, loving, powerful, and holy God Also affirms that there is a lost, sinful, perverted, corrupt, and upside down people Also affirms that this people can be rescued and know this God

Romans 4:24-25 …but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness-- for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

Romans 5 Vs 1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Justified Declared not guilty Affirmed righteous Accepted by God

Romans 8:1-2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

Vs 1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Peace A Unified friendship

The hostility between us and God is gone

God is saying, “I accept you and I am united with you” “I love you and I like you”

Vs 1-2a Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand

Access the act of bringing to Standing in grace unearned favor

Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Vs 2b And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God

Hope filled with confident expectation that One Day…

Revelation 21:1-4 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

Revelation 21:1-4 cont And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Vs 3-4 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Suffering Remedy Perseverance suffering does not get to push you around Character proof of who you are Hope Confidence in who God is

Vs 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.

Love that is Patient Kind Not self-seeking Not easily angered Not keeping a record of wrongs Protecting

Vs 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Vs 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.

Vs 8 But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Vs 9 Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through Him!

Vs 10 For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!

Vs 11 Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Reconciled the ending of conflict; the renewing of a friendly relationship
