Carcinoid/Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Fund At the LSU Health Sciences Center we have created a unique laboratory that performs research on neuroendocrine tumors. We are currently testing methods to control the growth of these tumors and are investigating their genetic roots. This laboratory has been awarded many patents for its work in the neuroendocrine field but needs your support to continue on its vital mission. Funding for research on neuroendocrine tumors is extremely difficult to obtain through traditional funding sources like the National Cancer Institute or the American Cancer Society.
