SOUTHERN STYLE MACARONI PIE
Macaroni pie is a traditional southern favorite!
Ingredients 2 cups cooked macaroni (1 cup uncooked) 2 Tbsp melted butter 3/4 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese, plus another 1/4 cup shredded cheese for the topping 1/2 tsp salt dash pepper 1/8 tsp paprika 1 egg 1 cup milk
Instructions •Preheat oven to 375°F. •Add the macaroni, melted butter, 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika to a mixing bowl. Stir with a wooden spoon until well combined. •Crack the egg into a separate bowl and beat it lightly with a whisk. •Add egg and milk to the macaroni mixture and stir with a wooden spoon until well combined. •Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. •Pour the macaroni mixture into the prepared baking sheet. •Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the cheese browns lightly and the center is firm. •Remove from the oven and cool until set. Enjoy!
