• God’s mercy goes before his people, sovereignly providing for his people. vs. 1 • God’s mercy goes before his people, to restore them through repentance. vs. 2-3

• Sometimes the first step in Making Ready is doing the needed self evaluation to realize where we are today.

• God’s mercy goes before his people, and his grace knows no end. vs. 3-4

• God’s mercy goes before his people, with the power to what we never could. vs. 4b-6

2. Understand what God has set before you Understand what God has set before us by defining prosperity. vs. 3,5 & 8-9

• Prosperity is defined as God’s Provision and as God’s Presence.

Understand what God has set before us and preparing for prosperity.

• We prepare for prosperity because we are all tempted to forget.

• We prepare for prosperity by remaining grounded in God’s word. vs. 16

• We prepare for prosperity by giving thanks

• We prepare for prosperity by being generous

• Generosity is the remedy to combat our tendency towards greed.
