We will continue our preaching series on revival today. I am preaching on “A Radical Return to the Bible.” I sense that God is at work in our church in your response to the first two messages on revival. As we focus on revival through a return to God’s Word today, I hope you will be praying with me for an effort going on this week by the Gideons International. The Gideons have a goal of distributing 70,000 Bibles in the Acadiana area next week. We are supporting their effort by hearing a brief testimony, and receiving an offering in the morning services. For those who may not be familiar with this organization, the Gideons International, founded in 1899, serves as an extended missionary arm of the church and is the oldest Christian business and professional men's association in the United States of America. A board of distinguished Christian laymen, international in makeup, supervises the world-wide Gideon ministry, ensuring an efficient, economical operation. The association has more than 300,000 members, located in 190 countries of the world. They are united in carrying out the same program using the same methods to accomplish the one objective of winning others to Christ.
