Everybody Does Some Cave Time | Part 4

A cave can either be a _________________ place or a __________________ place. Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry. Luke 4:1-2 (NLT) How can I endure my time in the cave of temptation? 1. Accept my temptations _____________________________________________. If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 1 Corinthians 10:12 (NLT) 2. Recognize my temptations __________________________________________. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. 1 Corinthians 10:13a (NLT) 3. Realize my temptations _____________________________________________. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. 1 Corinthians 10:13b (NLT) 4. Believe my temptations _____________________________________________. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. 1 Corinthians 10:13c (NLT) Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16 (NIV)
