The Professional and English Programs (PEP) division is a newly formed division within Navitas resulting from the merger of the Navitas Professional Division and the Navitas English Division. We offer an extensive range of Nationally Accredited courses from Certificate to Masters level in a wide range of discipline areas such as Psychology, Counselling, Business, Management, Nursing and Criminal Justice. Navitas Professional also delivers training and business solutions to employers to meet their requirements for “work-ready”, skilled employees and provides learners and clients with relevant, practical tertiary and vocational skills, work experiences and support in their career development and working lives. Introduction to the Role

This role works closely with the Regional Marketing Manager and is responsible for sales and marketing services for the Navitas English Brisbane centre. •

Managing direct sales activities in the local market



Recommending and implementing sales tactics (including attendance at fairs and workshops, advertising and running competitor analysis etc)



Working closely with academic staff and other sales and marketing staff to ensure class averages are met



Developing and maintaining effective relationships, alliances and networks within the local market



Liaising with and actively promoting all CLS products, services and expertise in relevant professional forums and to appropriate organisations and clients



Ensures efficient and consistent administration processes as well as providing high quality administrative support to ELICOS Sales and Marketing management.



Liaising with the Regional Marketing Manager, Navitas English with regards to the implementation, monitoring and review of systems and procedures



Ensures effective enquiry management



Assist with the effective and efficient use of collateral, and administration



Ensure effective and efficient management of job search support club “MyJob”



Contributes to the maintenance of client privacy

The Professional and English Programs (PEP) division is a newly formed division within Navitas resulting from the merger of the Navitas Professional Division and the Navitas English Division. For more than twenty years, Navitas Professional has been developing and delivering courses and programs for students looking to advance their knowledge, skills and careers. We offer an extensive range of Nationally Accredited courses from Certificate to Masters level in a wide range of discipline areas such as Psychology, Counselling, Business, Management, Nursing and Criminal Justice. Navitas Professional also delivers training and business solutions to employers to meet their requirements for “work-ready”, skilled employees and provides learners and clients with relevant, practical tertiary and vocational skills, work experiences and support in their career development and working lives. For students intending to study English, Navitas English is Australia’s largest provider of English Language training with 29,000 students and clients across 18 teaching centres. The Division is a leading provider of English language, settlement and work preparation programs for migrants and refugees with more than 21,000 clients in FY12. The combined division, PEP, which was formally launched on 1 July 2013, has approximately 1000 FTE staff and turnover of approximately $200m.

This position is responsible for sales and marketing services for the Navitas English Brisbane centre.

Principal accountabilities 1. Direct/local market sales responsibilities Under the direction of the RMM, ensuring effective sales results in direct/local market by: −

Managing direct sales activities in the local market

Liaising with and actively promoting all CLS products, services and expertise in relevant professional forums and to appropriate organisations and clients

2. Country/market sales support Under the direction of the RMM, ensuring effective sales results in country/markets by: −

managing sales activities for defined country/markets as agreed from time to time



recommending and implementing sales tactics (including attendance at fairs, workshops, advertising etc) for specific country/markets



working closely with other sales and marketing staff to advise on the appropriate marketing mix for a country/market



developing and maintaining effective relationships, alliances and networks within the country/market

3. Administration Support & Services Ensures efficient and consistent administration processes as well as providing high quality administrative support to ELICOS Sales and Marketing management. −

Liaising with the Regional Marketing Manager, Navitas English with regards to the implementation, monitoring and review of systems and procedures



Providing confidential administrative support to Regional Marketing Manager, Navitas English



Providing word processing, spreadsheet, desktop publishing and data entry support



Maintaining appropriate manual and computerized records, databases and filing systems



Coordinating appropriate Sales and Marketing meetings – including minute taking and follow-up



Assistance with organizing special events



Successfully completing projects as assigned by the Regional Marketing Manager using agreed project management frameworks

4. Enquiry management Ensures effective enquiry management by: −

Ensuring that all direct enquiries are effectively followed up within agreed time parameters, including coordinating/distributing and/or responding to direct enquiries (e.g. info@ and enquiry@ emails)



Developing/maintaining standardized responses for use with direct enquiries



Liaising with the sales team in the updating of agent and enquiry records through the use of Salesforce, BECAS or other sales management tools



Support for Marketing Director, Regional Marketing Managers and Marketing Manager as regards development of CRM/LMA system



Day-to-day liaison and communication with students, clients, and other stakeholders utilising a range of authorised communication channels, including official social media sites, in accordance with company policy

5. Administration and Collateral ▪ administration, by:

Assist with the effective and efficient use of collateral, and



Preparing and placing promotional materials in publications, subject to approval of the Regional Marketing Manager, Marketing Manager, CLS, and Marketing Director, CLS



Working with designers, printers and others to develop promotional materials.



Assistance with purchasing Navitas English branded materials



Maintaining and monitoring stocks of promotional materials



Coordinating the distribution of Navitas English promotional materials to agents, students and for exhibitions



Efficiently and courteously responding to all requests for brochures, information and promotional materials

6. Student Job Search Support Management Ensure effective and efficient management of job search support club “MyJob” by: −

Coordinating and running of fortnightly job search support workshops in collaboration with Regional Marketing Manager, Navitas English and Marketing Communications Manager



Coordinating and managing fortnightly MyJob blog and mailouts



Assisting Student Service Officers with students’ CV preparation and job search advice.

7. Product tool collateral database management Ensures the most effective and efficient management of collateral by: −

Utilising, and assisting with the maintenance of, a centralized database for Navitas English photos and marketing collateral



Developing and maintaining an accessible Product Tool for Navitas English products.

8. Compliance Contributes to the maintenance of client privacy by: −

ensuring privacy regulations are understood and implemented



ensuring client records and personal information are stored securely according to Navitas privacy policy



cooperating with other Navitas staff and external agencies in a way which ensures Navitas English comply with privacy regulations

Contributes to the maintenance of a safe working environment, within their area of operations, by: −

maintaining local workplaces that are safe and without risk to health



ensuring relevant occupational health and safety regulations are complied with at local workplaces



overseeing the provision of information, training and supervision necessary to ensure the health and safety of employees at the local workplace



ensuring that staff are effectively inducted, trained, motivated and afforded equal employment opportunity
