Marketing and Recruitment Officer, China Charles Darwin University Full time, hosted by Navitas Guangzhou, China The Marketing and Recruitment Officer (Greater China) will be employed by Navitas in China working exclusively with our partner, Charles Darwin University (CDU), Australia. The role will be based in the Navitas office in Guangzhou and will work closely with and to the direction of the Director International at CDU as part the CDU international team.

Charles Darwin University (CDU) is one of a kind. CDU is a dual sector university with 11 campuses and centres stretching across the Territory and into Sydney and Melbourne. They are vital to satisfying the Territory’s needs for education and training, and helping to build its economic, social and cultural capital, as well as supporting a wide range of national and international students. The impact of CDU’s research is felt nationally and increasingly among their neighbours in Asia, and is reflected in CDU’s high placement international rankings. Navitas, or PIBT as it was then, was founded in 1994 with the goal of helping more international students succeed at university in Australia via improved student support and an extended academic year. Since this time Navitas has significantly expanded the services it offers its students and clients and is now creating opportunities through lifelong learning for over 83,000 people in 31 countries per year. About the role The Marketing and Student Recruitment Officer (Greater China) will work under the direction of the Business Development Executive (Greater China) to support a range of marketing, student recruitment and administrative functions for the University. This will include: management and training of university appointed student recruitment agencies, maximising international student recruitment numbers and conversions, organising and participating in student recruitment events, distribution of promotional materials, and regular maintenance of CDU’s social media channels in Greater China. As part of CDU’s International Marketing and Recruitment team, you will take part in regular meetings, training and development activities.

Essential Skills and Experience     

Eligibility to live, work and travel freely in China fluency in both written and spoken Mandarin and English. Demonstrable ability to build and maintain positive relationships highly motivated with great organisational, administrative and teamwork skills. Ability to meet tight and competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Willingness and ability to frequently travel overseas to participate in student recruitment events

Desirable Skills and Experience  

Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience with demonstrated knowledge of/experience in the Greater China Market Experience working in education recruitment and marketing

Understanding of the recruitment and marketing process, with the ability to provide and implement innovative ideas to increase market share High level PC and database management skills with experience in drafting promotional materials. Ability to independently execute agreed marketing and recruitment plans, providing detailed reports and recommendations
