Marketing Coordinator (MC) Salary: £25,730 International College Portsmouth (ICP) Permanent – Full Time Navitas is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, language training, workforce education and student recruitment.

The Marketing Coordinator assists the Senior Marketing Manager and the Director of Marketing and Admission in the implementation of the marketing plan and the management of the promotional, sales and recruitment operations. The MC works as part of a global team to promote ICP in international markets and has particular involvement in the follow-up of applicants and conversion process. Essential  Bachelor’s/tertiary degree level qualification  Computer literate in Windows based software applications  Experience of working or studying in a multi-cultural environment  Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills  Proven ability to organise own workload and to cope with a variety of tasks  Ability to work to tight deadlines, to show initiative and to take responsibility for decisions and outcomes  Proven ability as a team player  Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and additional hours in support of recruitment activities when necessary Desirable  Experience of working in a pathway college or university  A degree or professional qualification in marketing  Proven ability to initiate and implement marketing strategy and sales tactics which have made a significant contribution to sustainable business growth  Professional experience in Photoshop or digital design  Fluency in a language other than English  An understanding of UKVI Tier 4 compliance regulations and QAA Code of Practice For more details please see attached information sheet

Purpose of Position The MC assists the Senior Marketing Manager and the Director of Marketing and Admission in the implementation of the marketing plan and the management of the promotional, sales and recruitment operations, and budget. The MC works as part of a team in the implementation of the marketing plan, with particular involvement in the follow-up of applicants and conversion process. The MC will develop effective business relationships and opportunities, both in the UK and offshore and implement sales and marketing strategies that will achieve agreed targets. The MC is also expected to work as part of the Admission and Marketing team as well as collaborate closely with the Student Services Team and the University’s International Office and Academic Registry. Working in a high energy environment with extremely motivated people, this role is focused on the recruitment of students. The MC therefore needs to be a highly motivated, team-orientated person, capable of adding value to the College’s Marketing team.

Key Result Areas Successfully recruit students in assigned markets to meet individual and College targets in line



with Tier 4 regulations Proactively promote the College and Navitas at external recruitment fairs and other recruitment



events — possibly 6 - 8 overseas trips per year 

Day-to-day liaison with customers through the College’s social media channels



Establish excellent relationships and regular liaison with Navitas Source Country Offices (SCOs)

 

Develop and maintain a broad understanding of all College and University partner programmes Manage recruitment budgets for assigned markets with a view to optimizing student recruitment Train agents and SCOs on key aspects of the Tier 4 compliance regime and the QAA Code of Practice to ensure appropriate marketing and recruitment practices prevail in all markets Implement on-campus activities and tours for groups and individuals visiting campus Assist in preparation and analysis of statistical data and trends relating to the performance of student recruitment as required, including the compilation and analysis of statistical data and produce reports to inform recruitment strategy and programme development Work cooperatively with counterparts in the University International Office Participate actively in the College’s Registration and Orientation programmes Align marketing and sales activities with budget objectives to achieve maximum profitability Participate in the development of the suite of marketing and promotional materials Work cooperatively with the Admission team and assist colleagues in the making of offers to suitably qualified students
