Girls on the Run Serving Greater Kansas City (GOTRKC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring girls to live healthy, joyful and confident lives. GOTRKC provides transformational, physical activity-based, youth development programs for girls in 3rd-8th grade. Girls participate in a 10-12 week afterschool program where physical activity is woven into the program to inspire an appreciation of fitness and to build habits that lead to a lifetime of health. GOTRKC serves 4,200 girls per year in the Kansas City metro area. GOTRKC is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join its energetic and collaborative team. This is a full-time position and is located in Kansas City in the lively Crossroads neighborhood. The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Girls on the Run Executive Director. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing all of the Girls on the Run marketing needs. Some of the key responsibilities falling within these areas include: • • • • • • • •

Develop and execute constituent communication campaigns through all available media outlets Create impact stories and consistent messaging to donors, parents, volunteers, etc. Assist with social media accounts Develop and manage organization’s website Create and provide content for all program and special event promotions including but not limited to videos, infographics, signage, programs, invitations, website/social media content Lead marketing efforts to potential new program sites Manage Coaches Corner online resources Collaborate regularly with all members of the staff

Required Qualifications: • •

BA or BS degree in related field Passion for Girls on the Run mission and the ability to comprehend and effectively communicate issues surrounding empowerment, self-esteem, body image and whole-person health

Outstanding communication skills in multiple environments and with a range of audiences (internal and external) Strong organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office software, InDesign, Adobe suite and database management Ability to multitask, prioritize and make efficient decisions Flexible and adaptable. Must be able to work nights and weekends as determined by the need of the program

Preferred Qualifications: • •

Graphic design experience Video production experience
