HOW TO DO IT Students come to class prepared to discuss the assigned topics Required homework: answer questions related to the assigned topic Written assignments. All students

Students discuss the assigned topics in groups Groups are formed by the instructor Groups evaluate their members Groups rotate members in 2-3 weeks

HOW TO DO IT Instructor interacts in class with each member of each group on a rotating basis until everybody got his/her chance to speak and collaborate Instructor asks questions but also receives questions Instructor manages the discussion using group dynamics or other strategies Instructor allows for members of other teams to react anytime Instructor keeps a record of participation for grading purposes
