The Professional and English Programs (PEP) division is a newly formed division within Navitas resulting from the merger of the Navitas Professional Division and the Navitas English Division. We offer an extensive range of Nationally Accredited courses from Certificate to Masters level in a wide range of discipline areas such as Psychology, Counselling, Business, Management, Nursing and Criminal Justice. Navitas Professional also delivers training and business solutions to employers to meet their requirements for “work-ready”, skilled employees and provides learners and clients with relevant, practical tertiary and vocational skills, work experiences and support in their career development and working lives. Introduction to the Role This role works closely with the Marketing Director and is responsible for implementing marketing and sales strategies and operational plans for Navitas Careers & Learning Skills (CLS). •

Work to strategically aligned growth plans to support targets



Monitor specific campaigns and promotions against budget and recommend corrective action where necessary



Ensure campaign outcomes and insights are incorporated into future plans



Implement marketing and sales strategies and operational plans including key strategic marketing initiatives



Provide guidance and support to Regional Marketing Managers’ market based operational plans and calendars ensuring strategic alignment and knowledge sharing of initiatives



Ensure usability, relevance and currency of sales tools, web, social media channels and collateral to meet the needs of students and agents



Identify and manage implementation of agreed new promotion and campaign opportunities



Design and coordinate student acquisition campaigns including pre-departure nurturing campaigns to improve conversion rates and post orientation nurturing campaigns to drive extensions and referrals



Develop and coordinate a comprehensive agent communications calendar and engagement program including agent nurturing/training program, agent newsletter



Coordinate the combined event calendar, ensuring a consistent and streamlined approach to implementation and return on investment assessment



Coordinate and assist the review of market specific promotions and identify synergies across markets



Develop and coordinate a social media content plan that works in and complements Centre activities including updates, monitoring and administration



Manage alignment of local and domestic focused marketing campaigns across Navitas Centres



Ensure that all activities in relation to the setup, maintenance, posting, administration and removal of information social media and Navitas are executed in line with the Navitas policies and procedures

Essential Skills & Experience •

Degree in Business Management, Marketing or related discipline



A successful track record in managing marketing and sales or product management teams in the domestic and international education sectors



Demonstrated strategic marketing and business planning skills including experience in developing integrated marketing and sales plans



Critical thinking skills in developing solutions to complex business problems and identifying opportunities



Comfort in working in multi-site, matrix management environment



Change leadership, advocacy for action, resilience, formal processes



Able to form strong professional relationships with peers from different disciplines, and peers in Navitas Group teams



Highly developed negotiation skills together with excellent written and spoken communication skills



Commercial acumen including understanding the academic and commercial implications of actions taken



Demonstrated ability to manage initiatives, set priorities, influence supply and channel partners to achieve business objectives

Desirable •

Experience in a similar role in an education organisation

The role is a direct report to the Marketing Director, CLS.

1. The Professional and English Programs (PEP) division is a newly formed division within Navitas resulting from the merger of the Navitas Professional Division and the Navitas English Division. The combined PEP division was formally launched on 1 July 2013 and has approximately 1000 FTE staff and turnover of approximately $200m. For more than 20 years, Navitas Professional has been developing and delivering courses and programs for students looking to advance their knowledge, skills and careers. We offer an extensive range of Nationally Accredited courses from Certificate to Masters level in a wide range of discipline areas such as Psychology, Counselling, Nursing and Criminal Justice. Navitas Professional also delivers training and business solutions to employers to meet their requirements for “work-ready”, skilled employees and provides learners with relevant, practical tertiary and vocational skills, work experiences and support in their career development and working lives. For students intending to study English, Navitas English is Australia’s largest provider of English Language training with 29,000 students and clients across 18 teaching centres. The division is a leading provider of English language, settlement and work preparation programs for migrants and refugees with more than 21,000 clients in FY12. This role works closely with the Marketing Director and is responsible for implementing marketing and sales strategies and operational plans for Navitas Careers & Learning Skills (CLS).

4. Compliance •

Understand key components of the National Code 2007 and ESOS Act 2000



Ensure excellent understanding with policies and procedures to advise agents and clients



Ensure student records and personal information are stored according to Navitas privacy policy



Cooperate with other Navitas staff and external agencies in a way which ensures compliance with privacy regulations
