Marketing Manager Description of the College Fraser International College (FIC), in association with Simon Fraser University, offers university pathway programs to international students and is based on the campus of Simon Fraser University in Burnaby. FIC is managed by Navitas Limited with colleges in Canada, the USA, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. For more than two decades, Navitas has accelerated the internationalization of university campuses around the globe, providing international students greater opportunity and access to high-quality learning experiences. Position Navitas is seeking to employ a Marketing Manager to join our North American team in Burnaby, Canada. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for new student recruitment and the design and implementation of the marketing and recruitment plans for specific markets. You will have background in sales/marketing/customer service, strong multi-tasking abilities, good time management and excellent communication skills. You will be reporting to the Director of Marketing & Recruitment at Fraser International College (FIC) and working closely with the College Director / Principal, and Director of Admissions. Key Responsibilities •

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for designated markets based on the allocated budget which includes leverage of media sources (print, web, social networking) as well as participation in global recruitment activities such as exhibitions, seminars, alumni events, etc. to drive international enrolments across all FIC undergraduate programs.



Manage the budget and provide regular reports showing progress against recruitment goals.



Provide detailed program counselling and admissions advice to prospective students, parents and marketing partners at various promotional events.



Cultivate and maintain solid, loyal relationships with FIC and Navitas-focused recruitment channels including education agents, government organizations and sponsoring organizations, and Navitas Regional Offices.



Provide on-going training, support and detailed program knowledge to external marketing and recruitment partners, through multiple channels (in person, e-marketing initiatives, Skype, etc)



Develop and implement detailed conversion and retention strategies and activities



Travel extensively to designated or identified international markets.

Actively work to promote and achieve a diverse international student population.



Stay abreast of political and economic factors which may impact international recruitment and maintain strategic flexibility



Work closely with the FIC Admissions team to ensure accurate information about programs, requirements and admissions processes are communicated to prospective students, education agents and Regional Offices.



Develop and implement e-marketing strategies across all designated markets, including social media strategies, online conferencing, advertising and promotion campaigns via Facebook, YouTube, etc.



Develop best practice and ensure full utilisation of customer relationship management systems

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience •

Undergraduate degree and/or suitable sales/marketing/customer service experience



Ability to work independently and meet deadlines



Highly developed interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills



Demonstrated experience in the use of technology to underpin marketing strategies and increase student numbers



Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to ensure that FIC targets are met



Valid passport and ability to travel internationally for up to 16 weeks per year



At least three years’ experience in a sales/marketing/customer service capacity



Legal right to work in Canada
