Marketing Manager La Trobe Operations Sydney or Melbourne; Full-time, ongoing Navitas is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, English language training and settlement services, creative media education, workforce education and student recruitment.

Navitas, or PIBT as it was then, was founded in 1994 with the goal of helping more international students succeed at university in Australia via improved student support and an extended academic year. Since this time Navitas has significantly expanded the services it offers its students and clients and is now creating opportunities through lifelong learning for over 83,000 people in 31 countries per year. Navitas has two major partnerships with La Trobe University – (i) a pathway college operating across La Trobe’s Melbourne and Sydney campuses and (ii) the management of La Trobe’s Sydney campus. A single marketing and admissions team (La Trobe Operations) operates across these two partnerships. The Marketing Manager will work collaboratively with the Director, Marketing and Admissions in the execution and evaluation of marketing and student recruitment strategies that contribute to growth of student enrolments. Part of a team of dedicated professionals, this role is focused on communications – specifically the development of compelling collateral, digital campaigns and promotion strategies. This is a challenging yet exciting and highly visible role which will help manage a major rebrand of our pathways. Experience in a higher education environment would be advantageous, but more important are strong influencing skills, the ability to forge relationships, a can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a global matrixed team. Essential skills and experience  Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Marketing, PR, or Communications, or a related field  Highly developed interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.  Strong copy writing and editing skills, including strong sense of accuracy and attention to detail, and an understanding of design and publishing processes  Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and constructively within a team  Demonstrated capacity to effectively utilise various promotional media including print, audio-visual and web technologies to develop and implement successful marketing strategies  Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects and effectively manage competing priorities  Demonstrated experience in developing and managing effective marketing activities from planning to implementation in an international environment, including evidence of using market intelligence and research’  Fluent in Mandarin Desirable criteria  Experience in higher education marketing preferably international with a broad knowledge of the Australian university system, degree pathway programs, the ELICOS industry as well as government policy affecting international students  Experience of customer relationship management software (particularly Salesforce)  Highly developed skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Marketo and Salesforce  High level computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including document design, image manipulation and page layouts  Experience in a multicultural environment

1. Overview and Objectives of the Position: The Marketing Manager will work collaboratively with the Director, Marketing and Admissions in the execution and evaluation of marketing and student recruitment strategies that contribute to growth of student enrolments. Part of a team of dedicated professionals, this role is focused on communications, the development of compelling collateral, digital campaigns and promotion strategies.

2. Key Result Areas: 

Develop marketing collateral and compelling content including social media marketing and communications



Develop College/Campus specific content



Manage the web page quality control and content management to ensure consistency and accuracy of content, quality and focus



Contribute to the development of the value proposition that differentiates the College/Campus in specific target markets



Provide strategic input into the development of marketing plans, recruitment targets and budget



Ensure alignment to relevant brand guidelines and gain relevant approvals for all marketing material



Develop, implement and evaluate lead generation, conversion and referral campaigns



Maintain presence across relevant social media in accordance with the social media strategy



Contribute to product portfolio development and its ongoing evaluation and refresh in line with market demand



Relationship management with University partner and Navitas stakeholders



Source and work with external agencies and providers to ensure optimum campaign performance, brand awareness, and return on investment



Develop and manage highly targeted domestic marketing campaigns across multiple platforms



Conduct campaign analysis via internal systems (Marketo/Salesforce/MAZE) to map trends and identify key results and leverage findings to optimise student/customer acquisition activity

3.
