MARRIAGE & FAMILY JOB DESCRIPTIONS PASTORAL COORDINATOR FOR MARRIAGE RELATIONSHIPS PRIMARY MINISTRY ROLE We are looking for someone with these qualities: 1) Passionate about helping couples to enrich and reconcile their marriage. M&FL offers a relational model that empowers couples to serve as change agents in their relationships. 2) A pastoral calling in their lives. 3) Committed to our coaching model – equipping other couples to serve as coaches – empowering couples to grow their own relationships. 4) Use the Life in Motion Relationships Inventory. 5) Connecting couples to other resources at VC and in the community. 6) Organized and able to multi-task between working with couples, assigning couples to coaches, nurture coaches and teach in our marriage classes.

STAFF MEMBER: Supervisor: Ron Hitchcock-Marriage & Family Pastor Voice Mail: Hours: Full Time Salary Core hours/days- Core hours- 9:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday § Flexible weekly hours as needed to adjust daily weekday hours for evening classes, weekend training, Begin Again, or interviews Qualifications • Member of Vineyard Columbus • VI or Bible degree • Excellent public relations skills, welcoming personality • Excellent verbal communication skills (Including teaching and training) • Embrace to promote Egalitarian Relationship Model (Mutual Submission) for marriage relationships. • Embrace and promote Vineyard Values on marriage & family life • General administrative skills (including computer programs i.e. Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc) • Organizational skills • Ability to work independently as well as interdependently with M&FL staff • People focused not problem focused • Multi-tasking

Areas of Responsibility • Assist Pastor in direct supervision of volunteers • Serve as a coach couple with spouse as assigned • Contact 5 couples per month to become a marriage/parent coach • Assist Pastor with Continuing Education Units for coaches (2 hour CEU’s 23x’s per year • Assist Pastor with recruitment of marriage and parent coaches • Assist with teaching & leading Marriage & Parent Seminars and Conferences • Develop teaching teams for the Journey to Oneness class • Work with Parent Partnership Coordinator in developing parent coaches and classes • Assist with coach trainings 3-4x’s per year and follow up classes • Counseling Ø Supply short term counseling when needed (maximum of 1- 3 sessions) • Represent Vineyard policies and procedures in Pastor’s absence • Work closely with Interns • Assist Pastor in Journey to Oneness Classes 4x’s per year (12 Weeks) Ø Call screening and information about marriage & parent ministries at VC (shared with administrative assistant) • Follow through with Marriage Assessments • Help with exit interviews for Begin Again • Work with Begin Again coordinator
