Group Room Coordinator Revenue Management Revenue Manager

I. POSITION SUMMARY: To handle customer calls and inquiries pertaining to room reservations in a standardized and professional manner according to Starwood policy and procedures, with a focus on revenue maximization and customer service. To manage the reservation department administrative work flow ensuring guest reservations are recorded according to guest needs and requirements to provide a smooth check-in and stay. Responsible for the management, maintenance and accuracy of all ISAC/Galaxy Lightspeed group information. Works closely with the Catering Event Management and the Sales teams in the servicing of groups and monitoring of rooms control policies while effectively communicating guests’/clients’ needs and wants to the front office staff II.

Revenue Manager Hotel Staff and Hotel Guests

Understand the key principles of Pricing Strategies and Revenue Management, such as rate restrictions, hurdles and availabilities Understand the key principles of Starwood Sales Programs o Starwood Preferred Guest, Global Preference, SET Preferred, Starwood Preferred Business, LRA, Wholesale Program Maximize rooms revenue through the conversion of telephone calls into sales Utilize effective upselling techniques Understand and take reservations to support the revenue management strategies employed by the Revenue Management leader in the hotel Be fluent on all hotel products and services Handle email & fax offers and requests for availability & prices of retail segment pertaining to rooms reservations Review expected arrivals daily to assure correct billing patterns for corporate accounts Ensure guest satisfaction and reservation accuracy, by maintaining updated database for all clients files. Coordinates information between reservations and other departments Be fully conversant with all market segments and rate plans used across all distribution channels Be flexible in sales technique through offering the right product to the right customer at the right time Handle customer queries and complaints relating to Rooms Reservations Review day of cancellations and charge cancellations if necessary Support the Revenue Management Executive and Director of Revenue Management with administrative tasks and special projects as required PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ability to read, write and understand English Communication skills required including clear speech and hearing ability

NOTE: The Sheraton Pasadena Hotel functions 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All employees must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift as business demands. In addition, I understand that business determines the amount of hours I work, and that some weeks I may be scheduled to work less than 40 hours and other weeks I may be schedules to work more than 40 hours per week.
