Burial in Lone Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers are Josh Martin, Connor Kennedy, Patrick Kennedy, Sean Kennedy, Christopher Kennedy, and John Tucker. Mrs. Kennedy passed away August 16, 2018 at her residence. Born on October 15, 1923, she was the eldest daughter of Dr. and Mrs. F. W. Davis of Jeffersonville, IN. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lewisburg, TN. Catherine graduated from Jeffersonville High School at the age of sixteen and attended DePauw University, Indiana University and graduated from MTSU at the age of fifty. She came in third in The National Spelling Bee in Washington, DC at the age of twelve and shook hands with President Franklin Roosevelt. She was co-founder of the Southern Carton Company along with her husband, Jim. She and Jim traveled to many countries and maintained friendships with couples from England, Ireland, France, and Germany. Kate and Jim had a wide circle of friends, entertained frequently and delighted in hosting an annual St. Patrick's Day party in their home. Most importantly, they adored each other and were inspirations to their children and grandchildren. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, James C. (Jim) Kennedy; son, James C. Kennedy, Jr.; sister, Marilyn Davis (Lee) Martin; stepgrandson, Timothy McGuire; brother-in-law, Dr. Sven A. Bach. She is survived by her sister, Joan Davis Bach, San Diego, CA; children, Marilyn Kennedy (Michael) McGuire, Louisville, KY; Richard F. (Alice) Kennedy, David M.
