04. LIFE IN ANTWERP

LIFE IN ANTWERP Situated in the historical city center, Antwerp Management School is not just another management school. Since the 16th century, Antwerp has been filled with the charm of a Western European city while serving as a hub of international commercial activity. By living in Antwerp, you will become part of an international community of innovation, which is at the forefront of creativity. Antwerp is a trendsetter in international fashion, the diamond trade and jewelry design and other creative industries. City of Culture A glance at the Cathedral or Market Square reveals Antwerp’s rich, cultural resources and gives clues to the different periods of the city’s long history. Antwerp’s breathtaking architectural heritage, from the Middle Ages to the modern, has been enriched recently by the MAS museum and the new Red Star Line Museum, which are real landmarks of European history. Don’t forget the city’s renowned live performance venues including De Singel, Toneelhuis, Sportpaleis and many others to discover.

City of Food Antwerp is also a city of countless restaurants, offering a wide range of quality and affordable places to tempt you: from Italian, French-Belgian (try our famous French fries) to Indian, Chinese and Japanese restaurants. Being vegetarian is no problem in Antwerp.

City of Sports With the city of Antwerp being the European Sports Town of 2013, its sports facilities and events have been updated and modernized. Sports have become a priority on the city council’s agenda and the results are clear: more and better clubs, great tournaments and facilities that give everyone easy access to nearly any kind of sport activity.

Antwerp Management School is located in the central, historic part of Antwerp, within walking distance of the University of Antwerp, which is home to students from Belgium and from all over the world. With streets lined with sandwich bars, bookshops, and nightspots, students find everything they need close by. And because Antwerp offers a safe, secure environment, its large student population is free to walk around the city at any time of the day or night. Affordable Living and Housing Antwerp is an affordable alternative to many other European cities.
