Matt is a pastor and worship leader, currently serving as the Minister of Worship and Pastoral Care at First Pres, Colorado Springs. As a teacher, Matt aims to encourage and edify others by connecting them to God’s purposes found within the Word of God. With more than 20 years of worship leading experience, Matt also comes with a deep desire for the church family to encounter God through meaningful times of worship. Matt enjoys integrating both of his gifts of music and teaching in hopes to empower God’s people. Matt earned his undergraduate degree at Texas Tech University in 2001, and is currently wrapping up his Masters of Divinity degree at Fuller Theological Seminary while pursing ordination under the ECO denomination of Presbyterians. Matt is married to his wife, Brooke, they are both taking great delight in raising their three boys Samuel (12), Luke (9) and Micah (8).
