Sermon Notes

Defining Moments: That Moment Could Come at any Time The Book of Ruth The Story • • •

Tragedy Provision A Kinsman-Redeemer

The Sermon: God is always at work! •

God is at work in the _________________________ He allows into our lives. •

So, we must __________________ the temptation to become bitter.

So, we must ________________ that God is always _____________.

This morning, I am continuing the series called, “Defining Moments.” We learn from the Book of Ruth that defining moments can come at almost any time because God is always at work around us.

Tonight, our Children’s Choir Ministry presents a musical entitled, “Big Shot.” I hope to see you at 6:00 p.m.

God is at work in the __________________________ He brings into our lives.

God is at work in the _____________________ He brings into our lives.

We have an opportunity beginning today to make a special offering to the Bower-Conrad Offering for Association Missions. The Evangeline Baptist Association is our most local partnership with Baptist Churches. St. Clair Bower and Carl Conrad were two pioneers of missions in Acadiana. The offering is named for their dedication. We are now only two weeks away from the beginning of Vacation Bible School. We owe a big “thank you” to everyone who has already volunteered. We need everyone to now be fully engaged not only in praying, but also involved in inviting children. All church members can do us a big favor by registering your children in advance.
