Greetings from your Chamber Chair - Ed Speiker ~ Ed Speiker Consulting I would like to thank all the members that have renewed or recently joined the Prior Lake Chamber! It is great to know that we have so many businesses that support each other and support the Chamber. A new expanded Chamber Directory is coming soon. April 9 found us on Ladies Night Out @ Sailer’s Greenhouse with over 130 Ladies. The participants enjoyed getting their hands dirty by “Creating a Succulent Garden”. It snowed outside but it was toasty warm and comfortable inside. On April 15 we held our Membership Meeting at McKenna Crossing. We Showcased our Home Based Businesses with displays before the meeting, a short intro during the meeting, and enjoyed networking before during and after the meeting. Thank you to all those businesses that participated and McKenna Crossing for hosting a great event.

Coming Events We will be entertaining senior citizens with our Annual Spring Luncheon on Monday, May 4. This event is always a success and extremely popular with our seniors. 250 tickets were sold at Club Prior and were gone in 1 hour and 25 minutes. Thanks to our event sponsors this year; Speiker & Co., St. Gertrude’s Health and Rehabilitation Center, All Saints Senior Living, Protandim – Sheldon Bryant, New Market Bank, KleinBank, Integra Telecom, Club Prior, Keystone Senior Living of Prior Lake, & Goldsmith Eye Car. Thank you also to the many businesses that send volunteers and door prizes. The Chamber Annual Golf Tournament will be held at The Meadows at Mystic on May 19. This spectacular venue of golf is listed in Golfweek’s best courses in 2014 and rated a Top 10 Best Casino Course in America. The setting features seven waterfalls, 20 fountains and is defined by bent grass fairways, tees and greens. Hole or special sponsorships (Beverage Cart) are still available. Only 6 spots left. Sign up your team today! Shot Gun Start at 11:30 am, box lunches included for $400.00 per team of 4 golfers.

Please join us for our next Monthly Membership Meeting on Wednesday, May 20 at T J Hooligans, 16731 Hwy. 13 S. in Prior Lake. Our program is networking, topics will be at the table for discussions. The Chamber has set up a Kelly Meyer Memorial Fund. We hope to raise $4000 to create a beautiful and calming area where there will be benches, trees, and Kelly’s yard art overlooking the baseball field at Lakefront Park. We are asking you to make donations to the Chamber no later than May 25, 2015. If contributions exceed the cost of the project, the remaining funds will be used to support “Kelly’s Umbrellas” which has become a mainstay of Prior Lake Lakefront Days. In closing, thank you for all your past and continued support of me and the Prior Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

Take Care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live. Jim Rohn

CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of the ten fitness domains cardio, respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power speed, coordination agility, balance and accuracy. CrossFit is quite simply a “sport of fitness.” Harnesses the natural camaraderie, competition, and fun of a sport or game and yields an intensity that cannot be matched by other means. Sandi is interested in learning more about what you do every day...Call today 952.440.1000 to schedule Sandi for a Day In Your Shoes!
