Dear Church Family... One of the great blessings in our Shiloh Terrace family is getting to know people who are different from you. This past week, I had the privilege of visiting one of our elderly ladies who turned 101 years old! She shared some amazing stories with me about life in the 1920’s and 30’s. Her father died at a Craig Christina young age leaving her mother to raise four children on her Senior Pastor own during the Great Depression. There were no toys for Christmas. The children made their own games playing in the woods. Her treat was a piece of candy in her stocking. Yet, her mother made them feel like they always had enough. As we celebrate Mother’s Day on May 12th, I want to remind you about the great mothers we have in our church family. Many of these women have been incredibly faithful to the Lord, their families, and their church family for many years. They are worthy of our honor. But more than that, they are worth getting to know. We live in a world that’s divided over politics, culture, ethnicity, age, and personal preferences. But we have a church family that is “one body” with “one Spirit … one hope … one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all” (Ephesians 4:4-6). Let’s celebrate the 101 year-old mom and all faithful mothers in our church family, and let’s celebrate our unity in Christ as we worship together for Him! Your servant in Christ, Pastor Craig Loving

Sunday Worship

For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too. So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up. Romans 14:17-19 Shiloh Terrace voted 87% to go to one, blended worship service. We will begin Mother’s Day, May 12 with Connection Groups at 9:00 a.m. and worship at 10:15 a.m. We can disagree without disengaging! Do not allow personal preference over one or two worship songs derail the Spirit’s work in the church. But strive for love, unity and harmony and everyone will be built up. Your pastor, Craig Christina Sharing
