Ladies Book Club - The book for the month of May is “ Every Waking Moment” by Chris Fabry. Please note, the Ladies Book Club meeting has been moved to Monday, May 23, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Terry Van Dyke at

Evites were emailed so if you Light did not receive one and you lead, teach or assist in a home group or Sunday school class (adult, youth or children), Lunch please contact Melissa Burgess to RSVP. These quarterly Light Lunches are a way to say thank you to our volunteers who give so much of their time and energy in serving the Lord through teaching. It is also a time of fellowship, re -energizing, communicating and planning in the adult, youth and children’s ministries. Please, RSVP via the Evite by Thursday, May 19th.

Light Lunch May 22, 2016
Youth Catawba River Trip
We are going back to Honduras to build a wall. This is our annual trip to take youth and adults to help construct a wall around the Honduran Southern Baptist Seminary grounds. The dates are from July 9th through July 16th. The cost is $1100 per person which includes transportation, lodging and meals. The remainder of $500 is due Sunday, June 12th. The Student Ministry Group is devoted to teaching students 6th through 12th grade and encourages them to grow in Christ and His Word. This ministry works with the Elder of the Teaching Ministry Group. This group taps into the spiritual gifts of Evangelist, Prophet, Teacher, Exhorter, Server, Administrator.
