In Christ Alone

Keith Getty

In Christ alone my hope is found He is my Light, my Strength, my Song This Cornerstone, this solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ, I stand There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again And as He stands in victory Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ No guilt in life, no fear in death This is the power of Christ in me From life’s first cry to final breath Jesus commands my destiny No power of hell, no scheme of man Can ever pluck me from His hand Till He returns or calls me home Here in the power of Christ, I’ll stand

Blessed Assurance

C. Brown | F. J. Crosby | M. Brock | P. Palmer-Knapp

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine Oh what foretaste of glory divine Heir of salvation, Purchase of God Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood Perfect submission, all is at rest I in my Savior am happy and blessed Watching and waiting, looking above Filled with His goodness, lost in His love

Chorus This is my story, this is my song Praising my Savior all the day long This is my story, this is my song Praising my Savior all the day long

Because He Lives

Gloria Gaither | William J. Gaither

God sent His Son, they called Him Jesus He came to love, heal, and forgive He bled and died to buy my pardon An empty grave is there to prove My Savior lives Chorus Because He lives I can face tomorrow Because He lives all fear is gone Because I know He holds the future And life is worth the living Just because He lives How sweet to hold our newborn baby And feel the pride and joy he gives But greater still the calm assurance This child can face uncertain days Because Christ lives Repeat Chorus Prayer of Confession Lord God of Heaven, today we celebrate Your greatest gift: the resurrection of Jesus Christ! Christ’s resurrection is the foundation of our eternal hope. Yet, we confess that we do not live in the reality of that hope in our daily lives. Our minds and hearts are often focused on other things, and we willingly walk in the wrong direction. Lord, You are a God of tremendous faithfulness; You are a God of relentless grace. We confess our sins of indifference and waywardness. Lord, have mercy upon us and forgive our sin. May our hearts be filled as You encourage us with Your truth and grace, by the power of the Holy Spirit. We ask this in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer of Confession

Yet, we confess that, too often, we do not walk out the reality of that hope in our daily lives. Our minds and hearts are focused on other things. If we are honest, sometimes we even are walking in the wrong direction.

O mystery great and glorious • That mortal flesh should conquer death and sin And all our human pains and wounds • The Lord should heal by bearing them Rejoice, holy Church, exult in glory • The light of Christ shines upon you Let the earth resound and echo the song of God’s own people • Rejoice!

Hallelujah Chorus (from Messiah)

Hallelujah Chorus (from Messiah)

What is this mystery, so great and new? Trembling for joy, all creation cries The Lord has risen from the dead And Death beneath Him lies Rejoice ye heavenly powers O sing ye chorus of angels

Worthy the Lamb Ye servants of God, our Master proclaim And publish abroad His wonderful Name The Name all victorious of Jesus extol His Kingdom is glorious and rules over all • Worthy the Lamb

For I handed on to you as of first importance what I in turn had received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then He appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. Then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared also to me. For I am the least of the apostles, unfit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me has not been in vain. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigneth! The kingdom of this world • Is become the Kingdom of our Lord And of His Christ And He shall reign forever and ever • King of kings, and Lord of lords Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
