Greeting families. There are 33 school days left before our 7th graders take their Writing STAAR. It is imperative that they do ALL lifework, attend all assigned tutoring and/or Saturday School. I apologize for the last minute postponement of Saturday School – due to mandated Saturday training for teachers on Saturday, and due to construction on February 6th & 7th. I am dedicated to ensuring your children get the best support available to prepare them for the STAAR as we march towards college. Our next sports teams are softball, baseball, track & field, soccer, and cross country. Robotics, Martial Arts, Student Council, Peer Mediators, AMP Mentors, Gardening, Chess, and Student Ambassadors are still going on. We are working on bringing theater back. As always, I leave you with the words of the poet José de Diego: If suffering comes unabated, If weariness weighs down your spirit, Do as the once barren tree: FLOURISH And like the planted seed: RISE Do as the river rich with new rainwater…GROW
