MESSAGE Pleasing Jesus (Colossians 1:9-14) Jason Webb (Senior Pastor) | August 23/24, 2014 | No. 6876 How would you describe your life? Is it the good life? The chaotic life? The ordinary life? The hard life? Whatever life you live, God is asking you to exchange your life for the “Jesus life”. While that sounds good, what does that look like? Paul shows us that the starting point of the Jesus life is learning to please him. THERE ARE TWO KEY QUESTIONS WE NEED TO ASK:

1) Who are you trying to __________________________________? • (Colossians 1:10) “…live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way.” • (2 Corinthians 5:9) “So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.”

2) How do you _______________________________________? You will _____________________________________ (Colossians 1:10b; Ephesians 2:10; John 15:4) You will _____________________________________ (Colossians 1:9b) You will _____________________________________ (Colossians 1:11) You will _____________________________________ (Colossians 1:12) This message is available on CD in the Bookstore, Library, or via download or podcast after Monday at elmbrook.org.
