METRO CORE SESSION #22 THE END TIMES: TRIBULATION, SECOND COMING, MILLENNIUM January 21, 2015 | Greg Cahalan

We are currently living in the time of the __________ __________. The Messiah is the only one able to open the scroll of history because He was slain for the sins of the world (Rev. 5:5-9)! The seals represent the entire movement of history from the first coming of Christ to the second coming of Christ. The Seven Seals: 1. White Horse (Rev. 6:1-2) = The ____________ of the Gospel (Mt. 24:13) 2. Red Horse (6:3-4) = ________ (24:6-7) 3. Black Horse (6:5-6) = _____________________ and ______________________ (24:12) 4. Pale Horse (6:7-8) = Nature __________________ from God (24:7-8) 5. Martyrs (6:9-11) = _______________________ & Deceptive _________ (24:9-11) 6. The End is at Hand (6:12-17) = The ________ of the Birth Pains (24:29) 7. Silence and Seven Trumpets (8:1-2) = The Great ______________________ (24:15-28) The 5th Seal reveals that God has a number of ______________ in mind to accomplish his purposes in the world. (Rev. 6:9-11) God __________ His people between the sixth and seventh seals to protect them from His wrath (Rev. 7:2-4) The 144,000 who are sealed is a symbolic number that represents all of ____________ ____________ from all periods of time – whether Jew or Gentile. (Rev. 7:4 and 7:9) The Great Tribulation The Tribulation begins with something known as “the _______________________ that causes ______________________” spoken of by the prophet Daniel. (Mt. 24:15-22) This “abomination” is final world leader of an ultimate evil empire who will persecute God’s people and demand to be worshiped. (see Daniel 11:31, 36). This seems to be the same person who is called the Beast in Revelation 13, the “Man of Lawlessness” in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, and the Antichrist in 1 John 2:18. The Great Tribulation involves the __________ expressions of the power and influence of evil, the judgment of God on evil, and the salvation of God from evil through the Gospel

The PEAK expressions of EVIL The ____________ – The Peak of Persecution (see Rev. 13:1-10). The Beast will be given power over the entire world as part of a one-world government. Anyone who does not follow him will be seen as an enemy of the world. The Beast will, for a time, be allowed to conquer God’s holy people and put them to death by the thousands. The __________ ______________ – The Peak of Deceptive Religion (see Rev. 13:11-18). The “False Prophet” represents all forms of religion that point people away from the one true God and His Messiah. Through the False Prophet’s influence, everyone on earth, except those faithful to Jesus, will put their hope in the Beast and receive the “Mark of the Beast.” The __________ ____________________ = The Peak of Greed & Lust (see Rev. 17:1-2). The Great Prostitute is the ultimate symbol of the godless nations and represents the peak of wickedness, greed and lust. The PEAK expressions of God’s JUDGMENT: The __________ ________________ (Rev. 8:2-11:19) – Intensified, but still partial, judgments on evil. They are warnings from God and a call to repentance (Rev. 9:20-21). The First Four Trumpets are intensified, but still partial, judgments through natural disasters (Rev. 8:7-12). The Fifth Trumpet is intensified DEMONIC oppression (Rev. 9:1-11). This is intense emotional, mental and spiritual torment. The Sixth Trumpet is intensified PHYSICAL SUFFERING and DEATH (9:13-21). This probably involves every form of physical suffering known to man – including war, torture, murder, sickness, cancer and disease. These are warnings and a call to repentance. The “______ ___________________” (11:1-13) represent ALL of God’s redeemed Kings and Priests who are called to preach the Gospel throughout the earth, and specifically at this point to the Jewish people. Their ministry results in the salvation of “all Israel.” The Seventh Trumpet (11:15-19, 16:1-21) represents the __________ ____________ of Wrath, which is the final and ultimate expression of God’s wrath on all the earth and happens at the Second Coming of Christ (19:11-21). The ____________________ (20:1-6) is the establishment of Christ’s Kingdom on earth for 1,000 years. ______-Millennialism – Believes that Jesus will return to earth BEFORE the Millennium, which is a future period of time where Christ reigns on earth with His people. ________-Millennialism – Believes that Jesus will return to earth AFTER the Millennium, which is a future period of peace and prosperity on earth after the Gospel spreads to every nation and Christians rule the world. ____-Millennialism – Believes that the Millennium is the period BETWEEN the first and second coming of Christ as Jesus’ reigns from Heaven, and those who die in Christ reign with Him. The End of the Age and the __________ __________ ____________ (20:7-15)
