SAE HR Team is looking for a bright and enthusiastic professional to cover the position of Senior HR Generalist. This new position will report to the National Director of HR. This position requires a broad knowledge of principles and practices of human resources with a primary focus on benefits administration, wellness initiatives and HRIS. Essential  BS/BA Degree preferred Human Resource Management or related field  5 - 7 years Human Resources work experience.  Candidates must be able to speak/ write/ read English.  Effective interfacing with internal leadership, front-line employees, and external vendors.  Experience complying with legal requirements, including HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, FLSA, EEOC, etc.  Self-starter capable of working independent.  Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and carry projects to completion.  Ability to work with multiple operations and multiple tasks concurrently.  Computer and internet savvy including Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Outlook  Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, and bending/ stooping, pushing/ pulling and lifting of up to 50 pounds.  Must be authorized to work in the USA. Overview and Objectives of the Position:

The Sr. HR Generalist serves as a non-biased resource for all employees. This position requires a broad knowledge of principles and practices of human resources with a primary focus on benefits administration, wellness initiatives and HRIS. The HR Generalist must possess effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, computer literacy and a high level of confidentiality. The HR Generalist should have a clear understanding of company benefits and policies and procedures in order to address employee questions. 2.

Key accountabilities that are part of the role: 

Ensure that SAE Institute’s values and standards are understood and supported across organization.



Research, analyze, evaluate, design and administer corporate benefit plans/programs 1. Ensure that all benefit programs, including health, 401(k), vacation/sick, voluntary benefits, etc. are set-up consistently throughout each of the localities; and are in legal compliance and in accordance with company policies. 2. Drive all aspects of operationalizing the government ACA regulations in order to ensure that SAE Institute Group, Inc.’s operations is fully compliant. 3. Liaison with carriers regarding service and ensure proper monthly billing. 4. Assist the National HR Director with the facilitation and implementation of all new benefit programs for each of the localities and; set up employee benefit orientations, when appropriate. 5. Manage benefit programs; serve as resource for all employees, handle claims when appropriate. 6. Maintain and ensure cost effective and competitive benefit programs. 7. Manage and execute ongoing benefit reporting as required by local, state, federal and plan compliance requirements. 8. Coordinate annual and day-to-day benefit processing including but not limited to open enrollment, new employee enrollment, change reporting, and benefit orientation. 9. Ensure compliance with COBRA guidelines by preparing and distributing appropriate documents; receive and record COBRA insurance premium payments. 10. Manage and coordinate benefit plan audits.

11. Analyze and report vendor performance and ensure KPI’s are met. 12. Oversee, audit and reconcile the processing of monthly billings, including COBRA. 13. Assist the National HR Director where needed in addressing high level issues; auditing data ensuring processes and policies are followed. 

Manage and coordinate leaves programs 1. Maintain vacation/sick tracking system including processing request forms for employees, answering company member questions relating to PTO. 2. Administer and track FMLA leave, including appropriate notification and physician verification/return to work. 3. Administer and track all other company approved leave of absences. 4. Oversee and manage all types of Leave of Absences; including Federal, State and Personal Leave.



Unemployment Administration 1. Work with National HR Directors to provide timely and accurate separation information to each state’s unemployment departments. 2. Provide state-required separation forms to Campus Directors. 3. Maintain timely and accurate information flow. 4. Attend mediation sessions.



Training 1. Developing and delivering new training programs for new and experienced hires. 2. Working closely with National HR Director, Campus Directors and National Leadership Team to determine best strategies for employees. 3. Get involved with related projects such as performance management, succession planning, change management and organizational development. 4. Facilitate face-to-face and distance-based learning events. 5. Measure effectiveness of training and provide reports regarding success factors and participant feedback.



Recruitment 1. Understand and learn the details of each job requisition and its requirements. 2. Identify qualified candidates utilizing various sources –- resume database, employment web sites, referrals, SAE’s network, other recruiters, contractors, etc. 3. Conduct preliminary technical interview to assess technical skill level, as well as communication skills, location preferences, salary expectations, etc. 4. Submit appropriate qualified resumes to Hiring Manager. 5. Send Internet ads out on to employment websites, SAE employees, SAE global support, etc.



Compensation 1. Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements. 2. Support the National HR Director evaluating job positions, determining classifications, exempt or non-exempt status and salary. 3. Support the National HR Director planning, evaluating, and communicating methods and techniques for selecting, promoting, compensating, evaluating and training workers. 4. Provides advice on the resolution of classification and salary complaints.



Manage and administer Workers’ Compensation reporting, claims and leaves 1. Ensure proper filing, reporting and recordkeeping of all claims. 2. Coordinate with carrier for appropriate coverage and billing. 3. Assist in return to work/safety evaluations. 4. Represent company in claim resolution arbitration/mediation.

Assist with maintenance of the employee information systems 1. Maintain Human Resource Information System records and compile reports from database as needed. 2. Liaison with Payroll to ensure correct payroll and employee information.



Coordinate and manage the administration of wellness initiatives 1. Research and assist with the development of wellness programs. 2. Manage the facilitation of wellness activities and programs throughout the year.



Serve as member of the HR team and provide administrative support to the HR department 1. Serve as a non-biased resource for all company members and assist with employee relation matters as needed, 2. Ensuring that all conversations are dealt with in a confidential and professional manner. 3. Work with the National HR Director on the day-to-day management of PEO relationship with ADP. 4. Ensure that all appropriate members of the HR department are updated on employee issues with a goal of quickly and supportively dealing with all questions, concerns, and problems. 5. Monitor the morale and assist with the development of strategies to help inform and maintain a positive environment. 6. Participate in administrative staff meetings, attend other meetings and serve on committees as necessary.
