Pray for great encouragement for Fina and Fernando, our Spanish partners … that the Lord would use us to fill their tanks with HIS love. Pray that God will prepare the hearts of our team to be flexible and obedient to whatever He asks. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. - MATTHEW 28:19-20 DAY 4: Sunday, July 8 • Join us in prayer as we worship together at the Church in Picassent. Ask the Lord to speak powerfully and clearly through Pastor Wes and members of the team as they share their testimonies during the service. Pray for Pastor Wes specifically as he preaches in Spanish… pray that the Lord would give him the words that he needs so that the message would be clear. Pray for Jim as he begins our week of evening discipleship sessions as he teaches the doctrine of the Bible… and for Pastor Wes as he translates. Pray for soft, receptive hearts of the people. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! - PSALM 96:3 DAY 5: Monday, July 9 • Today is the first day of community basketball camp. Half of the team will partner with the nationals to lead drills and facilitate a break-time Bible study. Pray for them to be intentional in engaging each child with the love of Christ. The rest of the team will prayer-walk in Alcásser, a nearby town that does not have an evangelical church. Pray for the community to be open to receive our team, as evangelicals are often distrusted and seen as a cult. Pray that the day’s activities and this evening’s Bible Study will provide many opportunities to share the message of Christ. Pray that the Holy Spirit would lead Jim as he teaches our 2nd discipleship night on the doctrine of God and for Pastor Wes as he translates. Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. - PROVERBS 22:6

DAY 6: Tuesday, July 10 • Please pray for hungry and open hearts for the children who will participate in today’s basketball camp and for the team that will be assisting other ministries of the church (handing out food to the poor, etc.) Pray for the intentionality of the team, no matter where they are, that they would be sensitive to the voice of the Lord and be bold for Christ. Pray for Wes, Michelle and Weston as each one translates. Please continue to pray for Jim as he teaches on the doctrine of Christ. Pray that new truths would take root in the hearts of these new believes. Pray for Pastor Wes as he translates… for extra strength, for clarity, for the right Spanish words to flow. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. - ISAIAH 1:10 DAY 8: Thursday, July 12 • Please pray for those sharing the Gospel at the basketball camp this morning. Pray for them to rely on the Lord to speak through them and for little hearts to be wide open to the Gospel. Pray for the courage to respond. Pray for Jim tonight as he concludes our discipleship sessions with the doctrine of salvation. Pray that the message would be clear and that people’s hearts would be open to the Word. Pray for Pastor Wes as he translates. Give thanks for the work God is doing in Valencia and ask for many to come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. You are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone. – EPHESIANS 2:19-22 DAY 9: Friday, July 13 • The team will spend the day sightseeing and learning more about the culture of Spain. Fina and Fernando will join us, so pray specifically for their encouragement as they will stay behind to cultivate the seeds we have sown while we were here. Pray for endurance and rest for them. Pray for other leaders to be raised up so that Fina and Fernando would have help as they continue to minister. Give thanks for the opportunity to serve the Lord in Spain as you prayer warriors have played a big role in the trip as well! Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” – MATTHEW 9:37-38 DAY 10: Saturday, July 14 • Pray for safety and health for the team as they take an early morning flight from Valencia, layover in Paris, land in D.C. late afternoon and then drive back to Williamsburg.
