Last December in Iraq we were able to visit a village that was ‘across the red line.’ The man leading our mission began speaking to a small group of Kurdish soldiers… He then took an audio Bible and put it in the hands of the Commander...He told him that he was giving him a Bible, that it taught about Jesus, and that he must listen to it. To my surprise, the Commander took the Bible happily. Soon, we were handing out audio Bibles to the other soldiers. ‘We have brought food for the village, but we have brought a gift for you too.’ It was a small reminder that God is not silent. Creation Conference—March 18-19, 2017
The Youth are planning a Progressive Dinner for Saturday, March 25th from 5 to 9 pm. They are looking for families to host each stop of their dinner. See Heather Durham if you would like to volunteer.
Milan Baptist Church is hosting the Creation Conference again this year. Frank Sherwin from the Institute for Creation Research will be the main speaker for the Saturday and Sunday sessions. There will also be activities for children ages 3 years through 5th grade. See the poster on the wall in the foyer and by the offices.
Caleb Club The Caleb Club will meet on Thursday, March 16 at 11:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. See Mark or Brenda Meredith for information. Be sure to sign up on the sheet in the foyer.
