Missions at First Methodist Carrollton Global Missions Goals - revised September 2015 1. Provide multiple short-term mission opportunities each year, including an outreach within the US, a family-friendly starter opportunity, and an outreach to an unreached people group 2. Help each short term participant springboard their experience into a long term, ongoing commitment (in a variety of roles) 3. Prioritize support of the long term missionaries God raises up from our own congregation and indigenous leaders 4. Have an annual audit of our relationship with each missionary and ministry 
 we support 5. Provide missions and cultural training each year to continue to develop world Christians in our own congregation 6. Keep the pressing need of reaching the unreached people groups of the world before the congregation throughout the year

Local Missions Goals - revised September 2015 1. Provide at least three church-wide opportunities for local missions outreach 
 each year 2. Identify and establish relationships with three ongoing programs or ministries that offer regular opportunities for involvement 3. Involve the whole church in meeting the physical needs of people in our community through donations, collection drives, etc. 4. Provide training and encouragement for people to build relationships and share their story with people in the community
