Test Specimen Description: (Continued) Glazing Details: The frame utilized nominal 3/4" thick insulated glass fabricated from two sheets of 5/32" thick clear tempered glass separated by a 7/16" butyl spacer material with aluminum substrate-dual sealed spacer system. The glass was set from the interior against foam glazing tape and a continuous bed of silicone sealant. A vinyl glazing bead was snap-fit at the exterior on all four sides. Frame Construction: The vinyl frame members were miter cut and employed welded corner construction Installation: The test specimen was installed into a nominal 2x6 wood buck utilizing an applied nailing flange on all four sides. The unit was set into a continuous bed of silicone sealant. The flange was secured to the wood buck with #8 by 1 -5/8" long screws spaced approximately 10" on center. Silicone was applied over the screw heads and the perimeter of the nailing flange. Test Results: The results are tabulated as follows: AAMA 1701.2-02 Paragraph
