Moorgate Metropolitan ticket hall closure June 2015 Work on the construction of the new Crossrail Ticket Hall at Moorgate is now well underway. On 8 June 2015 the existing Moorgate Metropolitan ticket hall on Moorfields will close for demolition as we prepare to construct the new integrated ticket hall. Moorgate station will continue to operate normally and you will still be able to access the station platforms via new temporary entrances on Moorfields opposite Moor Place and on Fore Street Avenue next to the Moorgate Buttery. These entrances will keep the same times as the existing Metropolitan ticket hall, i.e. they will still close at 19.30hrs. The other entrances to the station on Moorgate and the east side of Moorfields will not be affected where access to the Northern line and Main lines services is maintained. We will also maintain access through our site to the foot of the Highwalk Escalator for as long as possible. These new arrangements are illustrated in the drawing below.

Duration of work • From 8 June 2015 until September 2016

What to expect • Closure of existing Ticket Hall • Possible noise and vibration during breaking out works

What we will do • Provide two alternative access routes to the western end of Moorgate station • Keep access through the site via the Barbican Highwalk escalator open for as long as possible. • Monitor noise and keep within permitted levels set by the City of London

We will keep you informed of our planned works and mitigation measures for all future works in this area.
