Thursday evening, August 29 at 7:00 pm in the Gathering Place here at FRC, Conrad Van Maaren and his sons Paul and Joel would like to share their experience while visiting Vietnam this past year. They will present a power point slide show of their travels! All are welcome!

Children’s activity bags are available in the south coat rooms and hanging on the coat racks in the wing. Guests please stop by the Welcome table to find out more about First Reformed Church! The AED Defibrillator is located in the church office on the 2 nd shelf on east wall A nursery is provided from birth to age 3. Our nurseries are located right next to the Welcome Center located on the south east corner of the new addition. Please contact Trisha Vander Molen and Kaila Harsselaar at [email protected] if you would be willing to help out with this ministry! Nursery alert pagers are available in the nursery at check-in! Children in Worship Activities—3 year old—1st grade are dismissed during the service and meets downstairs on east side of the old basement (The Well). Pick up children after worship in the original Children in Worship area by the elevator.

PRAYER REQUESTS Praise Reports 

Marilyn Van Maanen had a great report from the oncologist that no treatments are needed and she is healing very well. We thank God for these blessings!  Thank you for all of your prayers and the nice cards received during my recent surgery. Thanks to Beryl and Velda Dunsbergen for their visit and to Pastor Wayne for his phone call, prayers and concern. Everything was really appreciated. Thanks to God for His healing mercies. Linda and Dennis Van Maanen  We extend our congratulations to Dan & Morgan (De Jong) Jameson in the birth of a healthy baby daughter, Mae Cora, born on Monday, August 5.  We extend our congratulations to Cole & Kayla Henkle in the birth of a healthy baby son, Brooks McClain, born Tuesday, August 6. His older siblings, Will & Evie can’t wait to help take care of him. Church Family  Linda Schnell was admitted to Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines last weekend for a blood clot in her lung. She had an angiogram on Monday, August 5 and was able to return home Wednesday. She is getting along good.  Irvin Vander Leest has returned home and is doing much better! Birthday Blessings: Wilma Rozendaal will celebrate her 103rd birthday on Saturday, August 17. Her family invites you to remember her with a card or greeting. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Our Meal Ministry is in need of volunteers. If you have a passion for baking/cooking and would like your name placed on a list to help out with meals for our new moms or those who are just home from the hospital, please contact the church office at [email protected] or 594-2935 ext. 1. Our Projection Team is looking for individuals to help out by running our power point during the morning worship services. If this is an area you would be willing to help out with please contact the church office!

The Vander Pol Scholarship has funds available for college students interested in full time Christian services. Please contact Pastor Wayne or Dennis Dunsbergen.

STARS After School Program The children are walked by adult volunteers from LynnvilleSully Schools to the church. And those attending Sully Christian will be bussed over. Four Family Meals where children share what they have learned: October 9, November 20, February 5, and March 11. PLEASE NOTE: All those who have PREVIOUSLY attended, a new registration form is required. Please register by Wednesday, August 28 (although late registrations will be accepted)
