Social Committee Update

Santa made it to Mountain Lodge early this year during our Pancakes with Santa party.  He had a twinkle in his eye when he saw the large amount of gifts our families donated to Toys for Tots!  Marine Corporal Curtis Robertson oversaw the donations and was very impressed with Mountain Lodge’s generosity.  The local firemen drove Santa on their emergency fire truck and the kids enjoyed climbing on the big rig.  The delicious hot pancakes and sausages filled the air while our neighbors were gathering.  It was an exciting morning of face painting, Santa Bingo, fire truck climbing, Christmas shopping and Santa photos.  Special thanks to Lori Ivy who coordinated the event, Chris Wyckoff, Sofia and Kristen Scott, Susan and Abby Heidenrich, Lauren Meylor, Jake Rosener, Jordan Wyckoff, Sylvia and Maddie Houston, Regina Nicks, Martha Sylvia, Juliana and Pedro Sylvia, Alyssa and Hannah Ivy, Dave Bollinger, Donna Hughes, Eny Noriega and April Navarrete.  You all made this a huge success!! We are looking forward to the next Social Committee event the “Easter Egg Hunt” in April.  We hope to see everyone there!

Pretty Intense Conversation Going On Here.

mountain lodge By My Observations…

From the CC&R’s

I think the parent’s handbook has a chapter devoted solely to Article III, Section 3.11 - Construction Requirements [Partial] bragging about one’s children. I’ve heard parents talk about how (b) No above ground-level swimming pools shall be installed on any many goals their child has scored, how fast they can run, and how Lot. Upon explicit, itemized approval of the New Construction well they twirl the baton. My baby has (d) Basketball backboards may be installed above garage doors which are no closer than twenty (20) feet from any curb if, after installation, unusually keen insight into the world around him. Or so I say. But the basketball backboards do not face, and are not visible from, in reality, most kids within a month or so of their second birthdays adjacent streets or Common Areas. Free standing and movable can point at the ceiling and make noise. It is our job as parents to basketball goals are permitted only in back yards and only if they tell everyone else how our little squirt can say such cute words as are not visible from adjacent streets or Common Areas. ceiling fan, rafter, cobwebs, and incandescent light. But for some reason, to other people it all sounds like “daaahhh!” As parents, we The Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (commonly referred know what the little tyke means. He is very intelligent and on his first report card in kindergarten, he had almost mastered, in six short weeks, the entire kindergarten curriculum for the year. January 17 Martin Luther King Day Yep, he’s a sharp cookie and clearly takes after his mother in that February 14 Valentine’s Day respect. However, like yours truly, he sometimes doesn’t make the February 22 Washington’s Birthday best choices in the classroom. On the behavioral page, the report March 13 Daylight Saving Time Begins was much… bleaker. I brag about him anyway by telling people that, like me, he is a creative free-spirit who will not be shackled into mindless, sheep-like conformity.
