MULTI PURPOSE PUTTY Thompson’s Multi Purpose Putty is manufactured using traditional materials and methods which ensure ease of use and excellent durability.

THOMPSON’S MULTI PURPOSE PUTTY: • For bedding and fronting single glass into primed softwood and steel frames

COVERAGE Apply 6 linear meters of glazing per kilo of putty depending on size of bead.

CLEANING Immediately after use, all tools should be cleaned with white spirit.

Storage Life 6 Months stored between 5°C and 25°C in original containers Specification writers: These values are not intended for use in preparing specifications. Please contact your local Thompson’s Sales Representative prior to writing specifications on this product. SURFACE PREPARATION Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose materials. For bare timber or steel, apply one coat of suitable primer and allow to dry. APPLICATION Apply a 3mm bead of putty into the rear of the rebate and carefully centre glass in the opening. Secure with clips or pins and finish off with a good sized fillet of putty around the edge of the glass using a putty knife to form a slope. Clean off any excess material. Finishing should be carried out using a soft brush to ensure complete adhesion. Leave to allow the putty to form a skin for 7 days and then overcoat with paint within 28 days.

PACKAGING Thompson’s Multi Purpose Putty is available in 1kg, 2kg and 5 kg tubs (natural only). Thompson’s Multi Purpose Putty is available in natural and brown. HEALTH AND SAFETY Thompson’s Stabilising Solution is classified as non hazardous. For further information please refer to Health and Safety data sheets available on request. EU limit value for this product (Cat H/h) 50g/L (2007) 30g/L (2010). This product contains maximum 2.5g/L VOC. LIMITATIONS Do not use in areas subject to continuous water immersion or swimming pools.
