Nationals Selection Guidelines

Key Points: To help the committee choose competitive teams to send to the New Zealand National Championships to positively represent the Waihi Inline Hockey Club. The following points will be considered:       

The team must consist of 8 competent players and a goalie. Team performance for the current season will be reviewed through game statistics. The committee will seek and take into consideration the view point of the team coach and manager however, the final decision will be made by the committee. Location of Nationals. Cost needs to be a consideration: entry fee, accommodation, location and parent support. Parents need to be made aware of the expectation and intention of the NZ National Championships. The committee reserves the right to request a player/s transfer from another club to create a viable team for the Waihi Inline Hockey Club.

Player Transfers: Players wishing to transfer to another club, in the event that the Waihi Inline Hockey Club is unable to field a team in the grade in which they play, need to inform the committee of their intention. The purpose of the transfer should be to create a viable team for the club being transferred to. The committee will not endorse team stacking.
