Key Responsibilities The position of Professional Year Trainer has primary responsibilities to ensure that the delivery of training and assessment activities are conducted in accordance with guidelines and instructions provided by NCI management, as follows:
Ensuring a high level of customer service for all clients
Delivering quality training and applying adult learning principles and following the CLS training methodology
Producing effective learning outcomes
Proactively and continuously improving professional competence as a CLS Professional Year Trainer
Producing positive group dynamics and experience in the training room
Understanding the performance criteria and critical aspects of evidence (if applicable) that needs to be met by the assessment
Conducting, documenting and continuously improving competency based assessment
Ensuring all AQTF requirements are documented while conducting assessment
Ensuring all CLS business procedures are followed and documented while conducting assessment
Ensuring students complete assessments on time
Completing assessments and providing feedback to students in a timely manner
Participation in moderation sessions as required by CLS
Complying with all AQTF and relevant registering bodies requirements
Essential requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Judgement and Problem Solving, Flexibility
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40110)
Successful relevant industry experience and relevant qualifications
Excellence in teaching adults and adult learning techniques
High level interpersonal and communication skills
Evidence of creating positive group dynamics and managing any classroom incidents in the best interest of the client
Excellence in maintaining documents relevant for training and assessment
Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team
Problem solving skills/solution focused
Flexibility

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be developed each year in conjunction with the individual. These KPIs will measure the degree of success and achievement in the position for that year. KPIs will be developed in the following areas: 1. Maintain CLS professional standards by ensuring that:
An effective relationship with clients is developed and maintained
Punctuality is adhered to i.e.: arriving at the client site at least half and hour before training commences, and completing the training at the published time
Setting up the training environment before the class starts
Complying with the CLS dress code for trainers
Attending all CLS Teachers meetings
Adherence to all CLS policies and procedures

Delivering quality training on a daily basis by:
applying the CLS methodology in every class
gaining excellent (average 4) client feedback
