Nebraska Architects State Requirements Total Hours: 24 Detail: 16 HSW Renewal Cycle: Biennial Renewal Deadline:  A through K expire on December 31, 2013. Period of education: 1/1/2012 to 12/31/2013.  L through Z expire on December 31, 2014. Period of education: 1/1/2013 to 12/31/2014. FAQ’s How do I renew my license? License renewals are valid for a period of two years. In October of each biennium year, renewal notifications are sent to licensees. Renewal forms, along with applicable fees, must be submitted no later than December 31. Licensees with last names beginning with A through K will have their license expire in odd-numbered years (ex: 2013, 2015). Those with last names beginning with letters L through Z will have their license expire at the end of each even-numbered year (ex: 2014, 2016). Who notifies the State of my continued education? It is the licensee’s responsibility to notify the State. The maintenance of records used to support CE credits claimed is the licensee's responsibility. I have extra credit hours. Can I apply them to the next renewal cycle? You can carry over any excess that you previously did not use, up to one-half of the previous biennial requirement. I am licensed as an Engineer as well as an Architect, how many hours of Continued Education must I complete?
