Position Overview The operation of MediaShout is a crucial element of the Sunday morning experience. In addition to providing people with visual and audio features, the operator helps order the timing of the gathering and is a key factor in the transition periods throughout the gathering. MediaShout operators load the various media components (i.e. PowerPoint Presentations, music lyrics, video, etc) into the MediaShout program on JRCC’s computer. During the Sunday morning gathering, the operator will manage the program to coincide with the Sunday morning activities. Expectations        

Coordinate computer drop off/pickup with Pastor Keith (the computer used for MediaShout is his work computer) Have media preloaded into MediaShout prior to arrival at the church Arrive at the church by 9:00 AM to lead the technical setup (projectors, cords, and computer) Liaise with the band leader regarding song lyrics, proper order, and wording Operate MediaShout during the gathering Record the sermon/teaching time on the recording computer (Brad’s work computer) Lead the take down of the technical equipment following the gathering Attend Training Day (the second Saturday after Labour Day)

Required Abilities   

Attention to detail The ability to perform well when stress levels are high A commitment to excellence

Recommended Abilities  

Good knowledge of basic computer operations Musical ability/understanding

Our Commitments    

Coaching and support from the Technical Ministries Director Timely communication from the Sunday morning producer and/or teaching pastor and band leader regarding song selections, media features, and gathering outline Consistent interaction and involvement with the Sunday morning music team Private and public affirmation… we won’t ask through the sound system, “What’s going on back there?!” when a video doesn’t play correctly 
