The Sun City Choir rejoices in Song of Praise. Before Dr. Daniels brings the message of the morning, Leona will bless us with one of her inspiring solos. Today on the first Sunday of Advent we light the candle of Faith. We are reminded again that we too are invited to live by faith, actively waiting for the kingdom of God to be made complete.
Light of the world You stepped down into darkness, Opened my eyes let me see. Beauty that made this heart adore You, Hope of a life spent with You. Our Advent series begins Wednesday evening. Isaiah, the new series from Epic of Eden's, Dr. Sandra Richter, is often named "the fifth gospel." The book of the prophet Isaiah has more to say about Israel's coming Messiah than any other Old Testament book. We're going "in depth" into the prophet, his words and his world. Join us. Light refreshments will follow the service.
Women’s Ministry Christmas Luncheon will be held December 9th at 11:30 AM. The Sun City Handbell Ringers will be the featured entertainment. Tickets are on sale today in the foyer. December is Compassionate Ministries Month in the Church of the Nazarene. One part of that is Child Sponsorship where for $30 a month you may sponsor a child to attend school, who may not otherwise be able to attend. On December 11th you will receive information in your Worship Folder on how to sign up. If you have any questions, please see Flo Knight. The Christmas Card Project is open. If you have any questions, please see Judith Uselman. All monies collected will go to Compassionate Ministries. Plan now to participate in the Christmas Shoe Box project for Rocky Point. More information will be coming soon. There will be an usher's meeting on Saturday, December 3rd at 10 a.m. here at the church. If you are an usher or are interested in becoming an usher, please come to this very important meeting. Men and women are invited. It is very important that ALL ushers be present. Thank you for your commitment to this ministry. Both Men’s Bible Study and Women’s Ministry Bible Study will begin January 17th. Sign up sheets are available in the foyer.
