CLASS ATTENDANCE: 1. Attendance usually counts as 50% of your weekly grade. If a student does not attend class, the instructor will mark ‘ABSENT’ on that student’s grade sheet for that week. 2. Classes will be recorded and made available the following week on the church’s website. To make up a class, students must listen to the recording and write a one page, single spaced summary on what they learned or got out of the recording. Once the instructor receives this written summary, the instructor will remove the Absence from the Grade Sheet. Students should make up classes within two weeks of returning from the absence. To Access the Student’s Page: Here is the link to access your student page for your class: www.myccc.church/nt209-hebrews This will bring you to a page that shows the Syllabus, the Session number, the Audio MP3 and PowerPoint (PDF) for each session. To hear the audio, click on the “NAME of the Session” that corresponds with the Session (week) you are making up. The audio should automatically pop up and you can begin listening to it. It would also be helpful to view the PDF slides while listening to the audio recording. To save the MP3 and /or PDF file on your computer: If you would like to download this file, put the cursor over the file name and “RIGHT” click with your mouse. A menu will pop up; click on “SAVE TARGET AS” (or “SAVE LINK AS” on MACs); then you may save the file anywhere on your computer. 3. On occasion, weather may force cancellation of classes. If this is the case, to make sure class is cancelled, call the CCIBI line at (860) 895-1231, extension 696. There will be a message stating if the class is cancelled. If you hear a normal greeting, then class has NOT been cancelled. Cancelled classes will not need to be made up, nor will they impact a student’s grade.

HOMEWORK: 1. Homework will consist of reading the Bible text, the workbook text and take home quizzes which will comprise 50% of the weekly grade. Note: This is not an exhaustive list. 2. If you miss a class, regardless of the reason, you should still complete the homework in order to get credit for that portion of your grade. 3. Please note, because each class is different, the deadline for turning in absentee homework may be different; your instructor will provide you with specific information for your class. FINAL 1. You will be given a take-home final exam on week 8 and it will be due back on Week 9. You may use your Bible and textbook for this final exam. 2. The final exam will count for 20% of your entire course grade. Be diligent! 3. If a student misses the last class, it is the responsibility of the student to make arrangements with the teacher within 1 week of the last class to obtain the final exam or if already obtained, make arrangements to turn in the final exam. 4. If the completed final is not handed in within 1 week of the last class, 10% will be taken off the final exam. If the completed final is not handed in within 2 weeks of the final class, the student will get an INCOMPLETE and will not get credit for having taken the class.
