Today is our sixth Sunday of the Hebrews Initiative—a 12 week study of the Book of Hebrews. In any endeavor this can be the time when enthusiasm begins to wane. Let’s stay the course. Stay involved. Renew your commitment to be involved in daily reading and prayer and weekly Bible Study and worship. We have not yet reached 1300 in Sunday School. Keep praying, coming, and inviting others to join you. Today, join me in praying for 5 of our members on a mission trip to Haiti. Ray Swift, Scott McKenzie, Ashley Pittman, Dr. Debbie Myers, and Laura Vidrine are joining with other Louisiana Baptists for this week long mission. Please pray for a great Gospel impact. Lastly, if you are interested in being a member of First Baptist Church, I strongly urge you to come to the First Look Seminar today. This will be the last seminar of this kind for 2015. In this 2 hour seminar, we consider the history and beliefs of Baptists and consider what it means to be a member of First Baptist Church. We will meet from 5:30 until 7:30 in Room D206.
